5 min readWebhooks let you receive real-time HTTP notifications when events happen in your Saldo account — invoices paid, bills scanned, bank matches found, and more.

| invoice.created | A new invoice was created. |
| invoice.sent | An invoice was emailed to the client. |
| invoice.paid | A payment was recorded on an invoice. |
| invoice.overdue | An invoice has passed its due date. |
| bill.uploaded | A new bill was uploaded. |
| bill.scanned | AI scanning is complete for a bill. |
| bill.approved | A bill was approved after review. |
| match.found | A bank transaction was matched to an invoice/bill. |
Every webhook request includes a X-Saldo-Signature header. Verify this signature to ensure the request came from Saldo and has not been tampered with.
If your endpoint returns a non-2xx status code, Saldo retries up to 5 times with exponential backoff (1 min, 5 min, 30 min, 2 hours, 24 hours). After all retries fail, the webhook is marked as failed and you receive an email notification.
Use the webhook logs in Settings → API → Webhooks to debug delivery issues. Each event shows the request payload, response status, and timing.
